if you are in a country that needs visa going to the US, then yes! you need visa to do connecting flight to the US.

you wont get anthing in the mail while the papers are on process. every communication will be thru email until they will ask for the passport. as soon as your wife sent her passport thru mail, then expect also the passport coming back thru mail also, but the courier will contact her too...

hi ikon! i was inform different. i landed 1 month ago, and tried many times to apply for the OHIP (but got some problem with the address req.) the lady in service ontario inform me to take my time gather my requirements because i wont be covered anyway until 3 months after i landed which is may.

The immigration office just stopped working during the hockey game! and i agree, canadians gets crazy with it, i experienced it watching in a bar in toronto! good thing the gold game will be on sunday, no more work stopping on monday! but we need to wake up so early to watch it! argh! well...
