Yes, they ask for how much you have available with you. I had a Canadian bank statement with me just in case, but it didn't seem important to have it (I still suggest you have one). They also ask if you've ever been charged for crimes or expelled from Canada.

Well you go through customs as usual (where you show your passport) and show them the Confirmation form. Instead of going to the Immigration office behind them (for those who know that airport), you have to pick your luggage downstairs and show the customs paper as usual, they'll redirect you...

Hi everyone, just wanted to let you know I'm back from vacation and ecas now says: You entered Canada at the P.E. Trudeau International Airport office on December 3, 2013 and became a Permanent Resident. :P

COPR is a form you get by regular mail. When you don't need to send in your passport (visa waived), they'll send you just this, and next time you go to the border (you can also go to in-Canada CIC office for in-Canada applications) you fill it with an agent (not before) to validate your PR.

They received it on 2012-08-08, so 15 months and 10 days :'(

Got my CoPR yesterday! (no need to send passport) Letter dated Nov. 14th, sent on 15th and received on Monday :) I'll be validating it on Dec. 3rd when I get back from vacation

Most of us check so often that we can tell on which day the line appears, but ecas doesn't tell us specifically :)

I wasn't aware of the 60-day window, but I'd wait until January and send it with 1-day delivery. It'll cost you extra but you'll be sure not to miss your flights :) You might want to write them an email or something to see if you can extend that window or at least alert them, just in case ::)

I am in a similar situation, I have to travel at the end of the month and expect to get my COPR at any time now. I'll have to travel on my temporary visa and get the PR done when I get back. You can't ask for emergency PR card when it's the first time it is issued. However, if you have free...
