Hi Man415, Glad it was of some help. They sent COC to my residential address. I had to send it to CIC centre. So check your post box as they might have sent to your add. Give a call again at some other time... She will give you the tracking number:) It takes about 2 weeks to get it.

Sorry for late reply. Your understanding is right. It is all explained in the cic website. If you are going outside the country then make sure you have a valid visa to enter back. If your visa expires before you return then apply for new visa from outside. Best thing, avoid travelling outside...

I had applied for a work permit from Bangalore VFS office. It took me 20 days to get my work permit. I feel you should go ahead with application for work permit regardless of your PR processing. Hope that helps...

Yes. If your wife has a full time job in Canada, you should be able to applly and get a open work permit. Do a bit of research here. There are posts which explains how. Also look into cic website.

As I understood, many have applied and got bridging open work permit > 4 months to their current work permit expiry. Only disadvantage is that bridging open work permit is valid only for 1 year. So my suggestion is to apply only if you are changing your employer.

Yes I did and looks like it worked. I have done my medicals. They wrote me saying my application is complete and they did not ask for any additional documents as yet. I wrote a cover letter explaining why I can not provide my birth certificate. Hope that helps.... All d best:)

Hi... Nice work:).. Certainly gives some useful tips. I do not agree though with the employment structure or I am not aware. Canadian labour laws are strong though there are some exceptions. All the best with your PR application. I finished my medicals last week as well. Waiting for the next step.
