Hello there, I would recommend UPS, that´s what I used here in Guatemala City. You can use this link to find a point of service near you: https://www.ups.com/dropoff?loc=en_SV&WT.svl=PriNav. I started with DHL but then switched to UPS, I emailed the embassy a scanned copy of the airway bill...

Just wondering what people´s experiences have been like with landing; generally quick or a good idea to have at least a couple of hours set aside for it? I have a connecting flight and I´m worried I won´t make it if landing takes too long.

I probably would if I had my passport haha. I contacted the embassy beforehand to warn them and they said that they do accept that method and it should be fine but I´m still nervous about it, I might contact them again and try to make different arrangements. Almost over, but not quite.

I sent my passport around the same time and still waiting as well. Did you send it with a courier company? You can check the waybill tracking number to see when it was received and if it has been sent. I used DHL but they didn´t exactly have a prepaid airway bill avaible here in Guatemala...

Hi NZK0, it´s seems we are in similar situations and have similar timelines. Our wait time at this point is 13 months. I was requested an FBI certificate back at the end of October 2013, and I wasn´t able to send that in until January 16 2014. Then our MP made a follow up enquiry on the 31st...

I was wondering if anyone could shed some light on what a background verification might entail and how long it might take. I contacted the embassy after sending them an FBI certificate and updated schedule A and this was part of their response: "Background checks or further investigation are...

Hi Jorgew, This hasn't happened to me and I am by no means an expert, but I would say that you don't really have any other option other than contacting the embassy and explaining your situation. Also maybe you weren't totally wrong, because I also received an additional documents request and...

    May 2013 OUTLAND applications!! :)

Hello everyone, I'm new, I've mostly been posting on the Mexican Visa Office forum but thought I'd try this forum. We applied in February but the process got delayed because we didn't send our Meds with the initial application, so I guess we're more in line with May applicants. I was hoping...

Hello Everyone, I got an additional doc's request at the end of October (an FBI certificate and Schedule A update). I sent those in on January 16, so I'm wondering what can I expect next. Anyone have any idea how long of a wait to expect now? My ECAS status is "in process" and the last update...

Congratulations! Hope this means I might some news soon too. I'm also applying from Guatemala via Mexico, our application was received February 19. Although our sponsorship approval got held up because we didn't send our medicals with our application (we were misinformed at the doctor's...

I sent a CSE yesterday and there was a response waiting for me this morning, so yeah definitely someone working;maybe they've finally shifted gears and started focusing on family apps now that the school year has started. And I would agree not to go by ecas (pretty useless so far). The...

Actually we tried that, but all we were told by our MP was that the application was moving along as it should, that we were through first stage approval (which incited a kind of duh! reaction from me) and that current processing time for Mexico was 14 months. Nothing we couldn't find out from...

Has anyone gotten an AOR recently? It seem like they´re only working on applications already in process, it´s been 4 months and still no AOR, so I´m guessing they´re not working on any new applications. :(

Hi Mark Kar, I'm glad someone is expressing their outrage, I've also felt like protesting how this situation is being handled, if I were in Mexico City I would definitely join you. But I'm writing because of something I noticed on the PAFSO facebook page; while reading some of the comments to a...
