    I don't know if they check them, but I kept mine, just in case. If you don't have enough space to store the papers, scan them and store them in digital form in at least two spaces (for example your computer and a cloud).

    I was in the same situation as you. I renewed my foreign passport in a normal way. When test day came, I took my new and old passports to the test and the staff member checked them both. Simple as that. I did not send any additional documents about my new passport.

    Do you have a driving license? If you do, rent a car for the day. Drive to the test and back, reserve enough time to do it.

    Good idea. OP, have someone call CIC if you can't speak, and ask what to do in this case. Let CIC know as soon as possible that you are still willing to take the oath!
