    How to Cancel an Application?

Hi everyone, This forum has been an extremely valuable resource for me as I prepared and send my application for PR last spring. My fiancé is Canadian and he was sponsoring me (an American). We had lived together in the US for 4 1/2 years at the point of application. When the strike happened...

Sweden: on the processing times page it says it was updated July 3, 2013 :( Thanks both of you for your replies!! That article was an interesting read.

Spring Inland applications affected by strike?

Thanks so much! It seems really hard to find reliable information on exactly what's going on. Even if the inland applications are handled by a different union it seems like the strike is having an effect on all kinds of applications, just from what I can tell. I'll just keep looking for whatever...

Advice on Inland V Outland applications

Overall the processing times are pretty similar, but the first stage approval for Outland is a lot faster. The thing with Inland is that it's 6 months for first stage approval, but then you can get an Open Work Permit. If you apply Outland then you won't be able to get that open work permit...

Spring Inland applications affected by strike?

Sorry for being the 20th person to ask! I just browsed around the forum a little ad then thought it would be better to just directly ask. I'm just confused because on the site it says they're still processing applications from October 8th... And I haven't heard of anyone who applied 6 months ago...

Spring Inland applications affected by strike?

Hi everyone! Just curious if anyone who applied for inland spousal/common-law PR at the beginning of this year has been affected by the strike at all? Processing time on the site is still listed at 6 months, but it still says "working on applications received October 8th" so really it's been 9...

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2013

Hi everyone! Just an update from me... I mailed in my inland common-law application on March 20th, it was received at Vegreville on the 22nd, and I just received our AOR yesterday, April 18th :) I would love to be added to that fancy spreadsheet I saw on here a little while back! How is everyone...

    question about work permit paperwork

I'm trying to remember if there were any specific questions I had problems with, but I don't really remember the specifics. And basically you are filing for an extension... You can visit for 6 months, but then after that, when you hopefully have our AIP, you want to extend your stay but as a worker.

    question about work permit paperwork

Hi there, I just submitted my inland application last month and was really confused about which form to use to apply for the open work permit. You DO have to fill out the Form IMM5710 in it's entirety and include all the documents and fees. I just filled it all out and put it and all the...

Hi everyone! Thanks to all your help, I was able to get my application in the mail last week! I've been super busy so I'm a little late here, but I had to celebrate ;D In the end I didn't separate anything in my application (inland common-law) into different envelopes like I said I was...

    A little worried...

Haha thank you Leon. I just hope they don't outright deny me PR because of it without asking me about it. But... only time will tell! Hopefully with all of the proof of our relationship I'm giving them they won't be able to deny that our love is really real. What a dumb mistake!!!! :-[ Oh my...

    A little worried...

Oh no :( I received my closed work permit December 27, 2012, so just 3 months ago. My fiancé and I have lived together and shared bank accounts, credit cards, and have travelled a lot together since September 2008, and I have lots of documentation to prove it. I really don't know what I...

OWP w/ Inland application... a few questions :)

Ah, thank you. Sorry to hear that about your degree :( Going back to school here would be great! I'm planning on finishing my Bachelor's here. Canada's education system is really good, definitely better than in the US (I'm American). For my work permit document number I tried the big red...

OWP w/ Inland application... a few questions :)

Oh! Also, about my UCI/Client ID. On the application for PR it asks if you have a UCI, so I put in the number from my work permit. I'll also put it on this application for OWP. Is this correct?
