Unable to meed PR obligations due to masters continuing in the US

My luck has a pretty strong track record of failing me in almost all situations that mattered to me the most :-) But thank you Leon and zardoz, I think I have a good understanding of the situation now.

Unable to meed PR obligations due to masters continuing in the US

Hi, I am enrolled in a masters program in the US that ends in August 2016. I have my Canadian PR issued in March 2013. Which means I have to land in Canada latest by March/April 2016 to fulfill the 2 out of 3 years stay obligations. 1) Since I foresee myself falling short of fulfilling my...

    Jobs in Canada!!

There is no such thing as "immigration is rebirth" Try harder, learn something new and do not loose your confidence. If you think your prior experience and education is useful/trnsferrable - definitely leverage those in your interviews Let us know more on your background - unless you do not...

    Fake Work Certificate

You have a surprising amount of audacity to post such a question in this forum. I will loose faith in the system if you somehow end up in Canada regardless of what you did

Re:Re: Do not come to Canada

Target2013- Marcus is definitely talking about the systemic problems that exist in the Canadian economy. The reason can range all the way from low productivity to low consumer demand due to low population. Judging by marcus66502's writing and yours, I can say that you will not seek out in same...

    Wife's PR

I am planning to move to Canada to fulfill my PR obligations. My wife, who got PR with me will stay back in the US as her green card is still under process. My question is- since she will loose her PR for non-fulfillment of obligations, can she reapply at a later point as my family?

Re:Re: Do not come to Canada

I recently received my Canadian perm through skilled labor category and I agree with your point of view. Outside of the big banks or oil companies, most of the jobs in Canada are part time or contract basis with none or minimal benefits. Rents are absurdly high and housing prices make no...

Trip to Canada without H1B stamping

Thanks CanV. But how can someone have a renewed H1B but a valid I-94? I got my H1B stamped in India for my first term that was valid until last year. So at the US port of entry I was issued I-94 with a validity matching with my H1B validity. Am I missing something?
