    Thanks for the info. I think you are better off not declaring anything if you are not carrying any restricted stuff like plants/nuts/animals etc. Declaration upfront just raises suspicion and makes things complicated.

    I think there is no limit on the amount of jewelery/cash you can carry during your first visit. You just need to declare the assets if it is more than the allowed limit.

    Can you let us know what documents did the immigration officer requested if any apart from passport and COPR ? Also did your wife declared any money/jewellery she brought into Canada ?

    Started processing sep 28th and decision made on Oct 1st... Also my ECAS was showing Application received till Sep 30th and it directly changed to Decision Made on Oct 1st... Mailing address still shows up as my lawyer's address in Canada but there is no way they would send the passport...
