Thanks for the info. I think you are better off not declaring anything if you are not carrying any restricted stuff like plants/nuts/animals etc. Declaration upfront just raises suspicion and makes things complicated.

Same happened with me. I went ahead and updated the complete address using ECAS but it still shows up incomplete.

This is the standard format for the DM message and it basically means that you should get your pp with the visa soon.

I think there is no limit on the amount of jewelery/cash you can carry during your first visit. You just need to declare the assets if it is more than the allowed limit.

Can you let us know what documents did the immigration officer requested if any apart from passport and COPR ? Also did your wife declared any money/jewellery she brought into Canada ?

Started processing sep 28th and decision made on Oct 1st... Also my ECAS was showing Application received till Sep 30th and it directly changed to Decision Made on Oct 1st... Mailing address still shows up as my lawyer's address in Canada but there is no way they would send the passport...

Hey guys, I haven't received the passport back yet after getting DM on Oct 1st. While mailing the passport we provided a cover letter mentioning the new contact address in India as the earlier communication address on file was my lawyer's address in Canada... Is it still possible that ND VO...

Where is your wife located in India...My wife got DM oct 1st but still waiting for passport...she would probably be flying to Toronto on 21st oct..

I used a lawyer too. While sending the passport to ND VO mention your Indian address in the cover letter.

You could always say that the original marriage certificate is with the spouse in Canada...
