ours didn't have a photo, so no worries! 2 weeks til i go pick up my husband in colombia and bring him to his new home in canada!! when are you finally making the big trip?? congrats by the way!! it's about time we see some action from bogota!

we did have to get an fbi check, and it came within 6 weeks, although we did write to them with the request that it was urgent and we needed the check immediately (give them a date)

they definitely did take their sweet time processing our case, we're just glad it's over and ready to start our lives together in canada!! Lacsa/Taca is a great route through san salvador, that's who i flew with today, definitely recommend!

yaaa but american is terrible, avianca also has a direct flight from miami and i like them wayyy more, anyways i have a pretty direct and quick flight with a little stop in bogota so it's ok...so long as there are no delays! i was there for the feria last year and had a BLAST, so i'm so excited...

we're on the exact same time frame, and ours says it started processing on nov. 20th too! fingers crossed for both of us!

sooo finally it says on ecas (as unreliable as it is, so yes i'm taking this with a grain of salt!) that our file is IN PROCESS and not just application received! yay! c'mon Bogota, you can do it!!

finally! good for you! we only waited 3 weeks for the request after we got our AOR, so hopefully it won't be long for you either. from what i can remember the letter with the barcode stickers just came by reg post...but i guess it might depend on where you are living in colombia...the post isn't...

have you tried contacting them? i'm thinking i need to, but you've been waiting wayyy longer than me!

flight booked...and yes they are getting superrrr expensive! do you know an email address to write to at the embassy?? i think i'll also contact my MP. and yes our case is a little complicated so that's why we went with a lawyer. we have a really similar timeline! have you heard any news recently?

don't worry, we sent our passport at the end of july and still no contact for us....you'll likely be waiting longer, keep patient! and come on bogota!! lets get some approvals here!!!
