Congratulations! Buffalo seems to be quite slow for the rest of us though with similar timelines. I guess some people have better luck than others :-)

Well, it looks pretty random regarding the file transfers and processing times. I guess we just have to wait patiently.

Hmm, it seems some people have got it very fast while others are still waiting. Is there any official reason for these delays / inconsistencies? I'd appreciate it if more people could post their timelines here and any theories they may have about why things are being transferred to Detroit, etc...

What reason did they give to transfer your file to Ghana at such a late stage in the process? I thought Buffalo would not do transfers anymore. Anyone know what the criteria for transfers of the application to different offices are?

Thanks for the tip. I'm very sorry to hear about your case. But are transfers even possible nowadays -- I thought the Buffalo office doesn't grant transfers anymore other than to maintain the "integrity of the process". How can one get a transfer then? It seems the integrity of the process...

Thank you very much for the reply -- it clears a lot of things up. I guess I would need a tourist visa for a few months in the US then when I am ready to finalize things. I hope they don't give me a problem with that -- after all I'm not planning to stay in the US but move to Canada eventually...
