09 Oct. 2019 My nephew applied for a student visa and was granted. He left his wife and 2 children behind. After 3 months, the dependents applied for a Canadian visa but were denied. Shoul they file an appeal or just re-apply?

My daughter who is a Canadian citizen sponsored us. My spouse and myself are now answering the forms. I am encountering problem on what to answer in question 12 "dependant type" of form IMM0008DEP. I will appreciate help from anyone and thank you in advance.
