Reply and tell them you have been given an extension and give them the extended date I guess.

My fiance and I applied for study permit(fiance) and accompanying open work permit(me) in January this year for a course start date in May. We were told in May that we would have to extend the application and that I would have to reapply for a visitors visa instead as we could not prove...

Argh, they denied my visitors visa I can't believe it. What utter nonsense.

Okay they just phoned me to collect my passport this morning, so the saga is finally over for me. Good luck with yours.

You can notify them that you have moved the start date without having to start the application process again, you must provide a new acceptance letter with the new date on it though.

You should probably start thinking about withdrawing your application or extending it to a later start date if you don't hear something soon though.

2 months is quite short, you probably should have applied further in advance They do/can.

Still nothing on my visitors visa... I don't understand what could possibly take so long at this point. I wish there were some avenue to complain about CHC Pretoria as I am sure they are not doing things properly and are not up to standards.

Both, passport with temporary resident visa and a letter stating that she qualifies for a study permit(They only issue the actual permit at point of entry).
