I tried searching for the application via the Online tool and also tried linking the paper application to my mothers existing online account( she had created this account for visitor visa purposes). In both cases, I get a message stating that the application was not found

That is awesome news!. Congrats. I sent in my application via courier on May 27th to sponsor my Mom and I have not heard back from CIC yet. We tried to link the application online and could not do so either. I have sent in an online query. Should I be concerned ?

Cic call center informed us that they are currently opening packages received untill February 17th and processing applications received untill February 3rd.

My application reached sydney on February 3. No updates after that. My credit card has not been charged as well.
