never heard to this forum that their docs was misplaced by the SG. if you're worried to the receiver of your wife's docs before, she/you have a choice to drop it by yourself at CEM. but mind you, you can't directly hand it to the VO.

yes, normally their SGs are the receiver of our docs in CEM. most of us here, our docs, were handed by SGs. if you are pertaining to VO (real direct person), they're all at 6th floor, they're unseen ;)
