    It would be much easier if you wait for your son to get to Canada. After he gets his PR he can go back and marry his girlfriend. It will only take 6 months to a year for the processing.

    Yes. You should inform the embassy if there are any changes in your names, address etc.

    They can't reject/decline your application as long as you have a job. Get a Certificate of Employment and send it CPC-M along with your application kit so they know that you're employed.

    The embassy requesting for your passport means you are in the process of getting your visa stamped. In some cases after sending their passport to the embassy, the embassy request additional requirements such as Police clearances etc.

    sobrang bagal naman ng processing sa pilipinas! d ko alam kung bakit ganyan parin sila kabagal eh kung maningil naman sobrang bilis, the fact na malaking halaga binbayad natin sa kanila! almost 3 months na since kinuha passport ng wife ko, until now wala parin... >:(

    you should try going to Philippine airlines in paranaque, i think they have cheaper fare's since they only have direct flights to canada... after the PDOS you're good to go... good luck and happy trip

    They need all the original one's, and yes, once your visa has been issued, everything you gave them will be sent back to you along with your passport...
