Hello Guys, My understanding was - PNP's don't have to show proof of funds while entering Canada. However, it appears they are asking for proof .. does anyone have any comments?

If you are somewhere in NY or NJ or neighboring states - You can take a day off, go have it stamped the same day. But, if you are farther away - its not worth the time and money to go there and have it stamped. Just send it to them via USPS with return expressmail, they will ship it back to you...

Hello Digital, It was stamped on October 25, 2010. I sent them a return expressmail USPS with stamp affixed. So, I already had the tracking number from the local post office. I sent my PP on October 19th and received on 29th !! Hope this helps!!

I sent in favor of "Canadian Consulate General" .. like 3 weeks back .. everything was fine .. and it was encashed also !!

Today, I got my passport with visa stamped. The expiry date is 9 months from the date of stamping and it is a one time entry - I was initially under the impression that it was 6 months from the stamping date. For those who thought the same as me, a small update for you all !! Wish you good luck...
