Can anyone help me how to renew my work permit with same employer? my work permit expired last june 24,2010. i applied OWP/PR but i don't have them yet and i don't know when. Im here in vancouver. Thanks.

@rosellyallung i think u can apply EI before expiration or your work permit so that for sure u can claim EI unlike me who have expired work permit and SIN not sure if we can claim or not. After ur employer terminate u, apply right away so that u can use the benefits from the government.

@hardworkerAngel....I applied for EI online even though my work permit and SIN expired..... i got the confirmation #. Then i submitted all the requirements thru mail.

@isabela, i lost my job August 19, 2011 then i applied EI online September 12,2011 i submited my ROE, OWP/PR receipt and expired workpermit Friday thru mail to Edmonton. I hope they will grant me EI ::) Can you give examples they will going to ask me???...... ask me in person?.... Thank you...

@sweetchad did you get EI from service revenue??.....My ROE is "A" and an implied status. I called service revenue they only said submit my requirements eventhough my work permit expired...i dont know what happens next, i want to try. Thanks for the response guys!!!
