I believe Albertagoverner is completly right about this. I think we can all chill a little bit now, we know there's quite a few more people who's past the regular processing time. So it means the processing time its taking longer due to a lot of applications. I'm sure many of us are depending on their decision, but now there's nothing but being patience.

I'm in the same situation, I think you just send them the letter they gave you at the hospital (proof of birth) along with your file number and maybe a letter explaining your case. But call the Alberta Foreing worker hotline 780-427-6419, they'll let you know exactly what to do.

    Feeling stranded..

Yeah, you are right, they could think she is working there or something like that. But if she later can prove she has a job in the USA where she proves she has the means to visit as a tourist or for visiting a friend and that she'd leave once her time's up, then she has good chances. I don't...

Father is being detained and we're being deported!

You people have a hypocratic sense of love for the laws, where you said you despise immigrants because they are breaking the laws, but you break them all the time too, and that's OK for you right? So I guess your whole argument is IT'S OKAY FOR A LEGAL RESIDENT TO BREAK THE LAWS BECAUSE HE CAME...

    My husband is in prison.

I think you should tell the truth, It could hurt you more if you "lie". Even if you think you are not lying, they could assume you are. If you are worried that your current marital status could affect your situation, then get divorce first, or since it seems you weren't married for very long and...

    Feeling stranded..

You are a dual citizen, maybe if you go to the USA or UK embassy in Canada, they might be able to help you too, you don't need to overstay and get caught, because they may help you pay the ticket yes (I don't think they'd fly you to your hometown, they may put you somewhere back in your country...

Father is being detained and we're being deported!

Yes, BUT ACCORDING TO YOU, BREAKING THE LAW IS A CRIME, AND SPEEDING IS A CRIME, SO A CRIMINAL IS A CRIMINAL, THERE'S NOT SEMANTICS IN THAT. JUST PLAIN OLD COMMON SENSE.
