This thread gives me some hope. passport received by CPP - Ottawa: Nov 21st. Still waiting for my tracking number to be activated. Hopefully this week. I am travelling on Dec 15th, so need it by the 13th at latest. :/

Oh, and I have one more question: Do i need to show proof of funds? I mean, I don't have the $11,000 in my bank account, but I do get a stipend from the university. Is showing that I have gotten over $20,000/year over the past few years enough as a proof of fund? Thanks!

Hello everybody, I am finally ready to start my PR application through the PhD stream and I was wondering whether I could get some clarification on the work experience requirements. I've been in Canada for 10 years on a student visa (BSc & MSc in Toronto, and now 2 years into my PhD at McGill)...

Sorry for the late reply. I finally got my visa on July 4th, and left the country the same day. Only got back yesterday. I essentially called everybody in the "Contacts" section of their website until I got a reply. The one that answered was either the Consulate General or her secretary...

Yeah...I managed to speak to a human being at the consulate finally. They mailed it from Fort Erie, and according to Canada Post, it might take up to 4 business days. Hopefully i'll get it on Monday. Would've taken me less time to walk to Fort Erie and pick it up myself. :/

I apologize if this question has been answered in another thread, but I urgently need a reply today. For those who sent their application directly to Buffalo, was their TRV mailed back to them through Fort Erie or did the consulate use USPS regular mail to send it to Canada?

So, the consulate finally bothered replying to my incessant emails/faxes today. Apparently, they approved and mailed my passport back on June 27 via regular mail....even though I provided them with a $50 UPS return label. Does anybody know how long approximately it takes to deliver mail to...

OK. I've officially given up on then, and I have asked for my passport back. I'll just go apply in person at the London consulate when I go to England. :(

That's great! I am still waiting. They are not even replying to my emails anymore. :(

Just found this forum. My application was received in Buffalo on May 18th. And everytime I email them, the only thing i get is the generic reply that my application is being processed. I am due to leave for England in 10 days. :( I even sent them a UPS return label.
