Since December, they put a background check on my wife's bending. I called, and they said it is under security check, Does anybody have a similar situation?

I am applying as a group; my background is completed, and my wife is still bending for security. Why did they put her under security check? we have been here for almost 8 years, and we haven't gone anywhere. any advice?
