Hi everyone, I have a paper citizenship certificate and I’m considering applying for my passport by mail. Do I have to mail my ORIGINAL certificate or can i attach a printed copy with my application?

Has anyone received paper certificates from the Niagara office? How long did it take? My ceremony is December 6 and I’m a little old school and prefer paper. Just wondering if it really takes up to 4weeks or if it is faster these days.

Hello, I was in same boat. PR as single woman, citizenship application as married woman. Here’s what happened….. When i entered the name on my PR card, the system automatically changed the “applicant” name to my maiden name and I submitted that way but i attached my marriage cert and a letter...

Hi everyone. I received test invite from Niagara and my LPP has been completed since October 17 with no update ever since. I know IRCC has no pattern but is it “normal” to wait over 3weeks since LPP completed? The tracker indicates people get it 1-2weeks after…..unless I missed it in the report.

May I please ask if you know the reason for the interview. Asking because you mentioned travel docs and I applied with expired passport from my home country. Wondering if I may be summoned for an interview because of that. I did attach an LOE explaining that my passport was expired and I am yet...

My application was progressing so well and now that I’m at the crucial stage (LPP completed since Oct 17), it’s been deafening silence. No updates whatsoever! Just a mini rant….:(

Yes, me too. I actually called on Friday and was told it was a glitch. There’s been no updates for me yet and I’m trying to not to panic for now. It’s been more than 2weeks since LPP completed and nothing from IRCC.

Congratulations! Did you opt for e-certificate when applying?

Did EVERYONE get a ghost update? If yes, then perhaps it’s just a system upgrade/glitch. But if it wasn’t everyone, then may likely be the batch was just delayed or something and they actually worked on our files. My thoughts and I may be wrong.

I also just got a ghost update. No changes since LPP completed on October 17. Fingers crossed.
