PR Landing in Quebec on the way to Ontario

Cool, thanks for your response. I'll see what I can do about the address - I don't have friends/family there so if I can't use the AirBnB address I'm probably out of luck, but I'm much less worried about the PR card than the landing/PR approval itself, so it's not a big deal. I'm just glad to...

PR Landing in Quebec on the way to Ontario

Hi I couldn't find a recent, conclusive answer to this question here even though there are threads about it, so I thought I'd ask: I'm going to be landing in Canada to claim PR(General EE), but I've elected to fly to Montreal rather than to Ottawa (where I intend to stay) because the flight...

Yeah, that's a little slow on the BGC, but I guess you had a request for a remedical so obviously that could have delayed everything. Hard to compare with other Jul AORs when there are additional requests involved, but FWIW you're still well within SLA limits.

Depends what you mean by waiting - what's your current status? I would assume a lot of July AORs don't have PPR yet - my AOR was 1 Jul and I only received it a little over a week ago.

Yeah, I meant the alert mail - I think that's usually all they send. Great to hear things are moving though!

Congrats! Did you get a mail or did it just update directly on GCKey?

That's great news. RROC? And when did you get your tracker COPR number and Final Decision update in GCKey?

Alright, thanks. I understand that there is no set rule and that it's always possible to get stuck on any step right up to the point where you have a stamped passport, but there seems to be a general understanding here that if you're at point X (specifically, what you call "FD"), it's very...

When people say, "I have final decision in GCKey", what I would expect that to mean is that GCKey says something like this: "Latest update: Final decision - November 7, 2023: A final decision has been made on your application. Further information will be sent indicating how to proceed." But...

"That scenario where the tracker has all 4 items green/completed but GCkey has no FD Date" I'll try again: what does it mean for GCKey to have a FD date? We already established that this doesn't happen until after everything including CoPR and passport stamping is finished. Basically the only...

    <<<<<<<<<< July AOR 2023 Thread >>>>>>>>>>

And to reiterate what I was saying earlier, I don't get "What @iSaidGoodDay meant was, if FD is appearing on your GCKey - in most cases expect PPR. " because I don't know what it means for FD to "appear" in your GCKey. The FD field is always there from the start of the process, and at...

    <<<<<<<<<< July AOR 2023 Thread >>>>>>>>>>

I still don't get it. You have FD (FD appears on your GCKey) once your passport is stamped and you have CoPR. So you're saying the order of events is: I get my PPR I send my passport I get my passport stamped I get CoPR I get FD complete Now that I have FD complete, I will get my PPR soon...

    <<<<<<<<<< July AOR 2023 Thread >>>>>>>>>>

I get that, but I was responding to this: "A small difference though, FD = fast RFV/PPR (take it with a grain of salt with my anecdotal observations). All completed can still mean that you'll wait week(s) or month(s) for your RFV/PPR." Obviously if you only get FD after RFV/PPR then it makes...

    <<<<<<<<<< July AOR 2023 Thread >>>>>>>>>>

Sorry, I think I'm lost again. How do you tell the difference between FD and all completed? Is any update to GCKey that mentions "Final Decision" (even if it doesn't update the status) after you already have all completed/COPR number in the tracker a guarantee that FD (the unofficial definition...

    <<<<<<<<<< July AOR 2023 Thread >>>>>>>>>>

Alright. I'm still a little confused by this because my "Final decision" has updated a couple of times throughout the process, so it doesn't seem that clear-cut which final decision update is the "true" final decision, but I guess the COPR number also reflecting on tracker is a strong hint that...

    <<<<<<<<<< July AOR 2023 Thread >>>>>>>>>>

Oh, okay, so a COPR number being added to tracker contemporaneously with a FD update on GCKey is basically as good as a "Final decision has been made, PPR/next steps are coming" message?

    <<<<<<<<<< July AOR 2023 Thread >>>>>>>>>>

Just wondering - what exactly does your final decision section on GCKey say when it's done? Asking because I also had an update to the Final Decision section + COPR number in tracker, but even after the update the section still reads "Your application is in progress. We will send you a message...

If you've had all stages complete since 15 Sep and haven't heard anything further, 99% that means your visa office is RROC. You will get final decision/passport request in December or January if current trends continue.
