I guess it’s can be different for anybody. No specific sequence. My tracker is still not updated but i received the notice to appear today at 4pm for the oath ceremony this Thursday 21st. Either way it’s a good signs. I’m happy there’s some movement for Ottawa applicants.

Finally received a notice to appear after last Thursday email. Just 2days before the in person ceremony. I was starting to worried as there is still no update on the tracker ever since January. I wish you guys all the luck too for an oath ceremony. 26months process coming to an end.

May 2020 applicant, November test done, everything completed end of January. I had an email of being put on list for the oath June 20th and this morning received an email offering an In-person public ceremony at the redblacks stadium during halftime of a football match on the 21st July or if not...

No timeline was given to me. Just telling me i was put in the line and to check my emails that’s all.

I wonder if these replies from Ottawa telling us about being put in the oath list not another way to stop us from writing to them, i had sent 3 emails to Ottawa office between March and May each time they said to wait after sending fourth and fifth it says you are on the line , but almost 4weeks...

I had a reply yesterday from an email i sent to Ottawa office on May , saying You have been added to the list to be invited for a Citizenship Ceremony , and to verify my email as it will be sent, i wonder too how long till the invite comes. Let us know if you get the invite soon.

It’s been 2years exactly since they received my application, i never imagine it will take this much time for it to be done. I knew covid would impact it but not to this extent. I wonder when will they invite those of us DM since 4months and more. Hopefully on Canada day many of us finish this...

All my requirements are "completed” except the citizenship ceremony which is "not started". I really wonder when will there be an update on the citizenship ceremony, because each week i say alright this the week they can’t delay any longer yet it’s 4months since DM.

Ooh okay, thank you. It make sense to renew just after it expires. The renewal is because i feel like it will take a long time for oath ceremony and I wanna travel later in the Summer it’s for me be able to get back with a valid Pr.

I saw that it takes 66days to renew a PR, but with our experience i know it will take longer. Now the dilemma should I wait till it expires or just renew. This process is it at all fair
