    Feb 2015 citizenship applicants

I'm disturbed at the competitiveness on this site on how fast you get your AOR. I don't see the point of it. Think of how the other people feel who have been waiting much longer. I quit this site. Thanks to all those lovely Vienna applicants who were supportive through permanent residency...

where can I find CELPIP practice tests

We can't give you a pdf copy because it has my husband's email printed on every page. I guess they did that so we couldn't resell it. But you can buy the book for $15 if you live in Vancouver.

    Feb 2015 citizenship applicants

The average is 40-50 days. I don't want to get hopes up thinking this will be over quickly. What's a few more weeks after waiting 3 years, plus a year for PR. It will come when it does. My husband has a stable job so he's not in any need of "urgent" processing. We're lucky I guess. And...

Do you have any idea why you received yours so soon?

    Feb 2015 citizenship applicants

Wow. I wonder why so soon? I don't even see AORs that soon on other months. I don't know. I'm a little suspicious of these claims considering these two members registered today and yesterday for this forum. Yeah, call me cynical.

Returning to Dubai after applying for citizenship

I feel bad that your employer isn't treating you better. Unfortunately there are employers like that in all countries. Please remember that most of us Canadians are good people. I know you came to Canada trying to better yourself and I appreciate that. I also think it's important that...

Returning to Dubai after applying for citizenship

My husband's friend was offered an IT job in Dubai but he decided not to take it because of family committments. His friend told him he could've made enough money to retire on in only 5 years of working in Dubai. He would've lived very comfortably on that money back in his home country, but...

Returning to Dubai after applying for citizenship

I've lived in other countries to earn more money, and I can say that there is no better place to live than Canada. So, if all you're concerned about is money and some superficial dream then keep on searching. You won't find it. I value my life and citizenship here and I was born here. My...

    Feb 2015 citizenship applicants

Application sent off for my husband February 4, 2015. Hopefully it will go as smoothly as the permanent residence. Three years has gone by quickly! We only sent off the documents they asked for. I don't understand why people are sending all that extra stuff like T4's and bills...

where can I find CELPIP practice tests

My husband just passed the listening/speaking test. He used the study guide and the online practice tests. I also wrote up some questions that were similar to the speaking questions. I think this helped a lot.

    CELPIP LS test advice

Thanks for the advice! My husband heard about being able to hear the other speakers so he was really worried about it. He's such a perfectionist and I know he wants to show how well he speaks. But frankly I think I would have a hard time coming up with answers in only a minute myself.

    CELPIP LS test advice

Of course this is related to citizenship. I don't understand your animosity. My husband works and pays taxes and is fluent in English. This CELPIP test is new and we just want some advice about how to pass it.

    CELPIP LS test advice

My husband is taking the CELPIP test in a couple of weeks. He has been practicing with the online tests and has done really well on the listening section but the speaking part is causing some anxiety. He has been here living and working for 3 years now, living totally in English. Everyone...
