Landed in Summer 2013 but not "settling" until 2015

I landed in Montreal with Immigration and CBSA but only crossed the border to do the landing procedure. CBSA was aware of this and stamped everything/gave their seal of approval, then back to the US I went. My intent was/is to return and settle shortly after the beginning of 2015, after I have...

That all depends on how advanced your French speaking and comprehension skills are. Should you be called for an interview (which is most likely), you must ensure you show your level of French that you indicated on your application. How advanced are your French speaking and listening skills?

Only the Federal application for PR (that technically took 10 months). I originally applied for the CSQ back in March 2010 - so in all, about 3 years. However, when I applied in March 2010, I was told Immigration Quebec was extremely busy, therefore it longer than normal (or so I've heard) for...

    QUEBEC APPLICANTS LETS SHARE EXPERIENCE

The timeline in my profile corresponds to the Federal application for Permanent Residence, not my application for the CSQ in Quebec. I originally applied for the CSQ in March 2010, then had my CSQ Interview in New York City in March 2012 and received my CSQ at that time. I then proceeded to...

    How to import vehicle?

I cannot remember where it is located on the Internet, but I do remember it explaining that any and all goods imported as part of your settlement as a new immigrant are not taxed, including the importation of your personal vehicle. However, you will most likely need to pay for any applicable...

Any Idea about NEXUS Card ?

I, too, am getting a NEXUS card and will be completing my interview with the CBSA on May 3rd, at the Lake Erie office location. Very excited to be able to travel back and forth much easier now!

I just received an email on Friday from CIC at the Case Processing Pilot in Ottawa, indicating they have made a decision on my application for Permanent Residence and I had to pay the Right of Permanent Residence Fee (RPRF). I paid and sent them a copy of my receipt of payment as they requested...

Timeframe from time credit card is charged to AOR?

I'm able to answer my own question - as luck would have it, I just received my AOR via email this morning, with requests for medical examinations ;D

Timeframe from time credit card is charged to AOR?

Does anyone know approximately how long it takes from the time CIC charges your credit card (through the Centralized Intake Office in Sydney, NS) for a Permanent Residence application to the time you should receive your AOR? CIC charged my credit card on May 18, 2012 but I have not yet received...

I know!! They 'received' my application in January (not sure why that received date was so long from the time I applied) and they stated that with me applying during the holidays, that substantially delayed the time. Who knows...I am just glad to have received my CSQ now :)

The reports/certificates are valid for a year from issue, since CIC will take several months to actually process your application. It just can't have been issued for more than 3 months before you physically send in your application, for whatever reason. Just something they mandate, I guess.

That's great - congratulations! That's good to know that you received yours via email - I wonder why they don't keep it consistent. I wonder if it was because I was using an immigration attorney to assist in my application for the CSQ and that is why I was sent a letter instead. At any rate...
