Hi,

Recently my parents were asked to submit the passport for processing their visit visa application. Now, my parents had been to Canada on visit visa in 2023 and for that they had submitted biometrics in 2022. They had to re-apply for visit visa since their passport expired early 2024. However, since their biometric was valid till 2032, they didn’t submit biometrics this time.
So my question is for the last page of the VFS consent form - it has 2 sections- Applicants wishing to provide Biometric and Applicants NOT wishing to provide biometrics. Which one should they sign ? Eince they had already provided biometrics in 2022, but are not providing this year - so a bit confused, if the question pertains only to the current application?Thank you in advance

If they already applied in 2022, their biometric must have validity until 2032 (10 years), so they don't need to apply for it again...look for your parents biometric application, and show them their biometric application number (the code in the back when their biometric letter was sent).

Hi,
Thanks for the response, but my question is not on whether they need to submit biometrics. I know they don’t need to submit it again. My query is on filling the biometrics section in the VFS consent form. Does it refer to the biometrics submission only for this application? In that case they will need to sign on the section - Applicants NOT wishing to provide biometrics.
