we never asked for an extension. It was not necessary in our case. We all lived in Argentina and I came here first (canada) months ago then he asked for a TRV since we did not see things moving along and I needed help looking for houses, etc. We got the PPR a month after he got the TRV.

Just state your name and Id number and express what you want to say i.e update on your application, if they recieved it and so on.....they might answer and they may not answer....who knows. You are only a couple of months into the process. I know this part of the waiting game is aterrador...

Have you tried writing to the embassy? AT the most you will get the answer in queue for processing however it will not hurt to try. You do not need to check the CIC website everytime. Try to sign up for the ecase tracker. Almost everyone in this forum uses it. It is fantastic. They way it works...

Question for the group: It was my understanding that once the embassy issued the visa you had a year to land. But i have been reading our last posts and it looks like you have to land before your medicals expire. Is this correct?
