I applied for the health card after i got an address proof. You just need your COPR and Address proof to apply for the health card. PR card is not required.

Not in Ontario. It takes 90 days after arrival for the Health Card coverage to start. Ergo, the card will arrive just around the time when the coverage officially begins.

Hello everyone ! I got my PR card in hand. Came in the mailbox today. I stay in Toronto. It was despatched to me on 4th July 2016. My landing date was 5th May 2016. Now starts the wait for the Health Card ! Good Luck to the rest of you ! Just have patience. It will come...

Landed on 5th May. Called agent this morning who said my card has been despatched through normal post on 4th July to my address in Toronto. Still no sign of it in my mailbox as of this morning. (CP hasn't delivered any mails last week due to the strike). Since they are not technically locked...

Thanks. I called them up. They said my PR card has been despatched on 4th July 2016. Checked the mailbox, still nothing. Canada Post is now not locked out from its strike and is working but i am expecting the pace of deliveries to be slow. Hope to get it this week.

What is the call centre to call for this query ? I landed on 5th May 2016, still awaiting the PR Card.
