A couple of people here are reporting that they are being scheduled a hearing with the judge despite no RQ or test failure. Would you mind sharing what in your opinion may have caused it? Do you have a lot of absences from Canada?

Sorry to hear about you getting a RQ. According to one of the operation bulletins they are not allowed to separate files if one family member is given RQ. BY the way do you mind sharing your timeline? And did you use the newer application form which had the option for CIC collecting your list...

that sure was fast although not the best thing to happen receiving an RQ. I this Mississauga is the fastest local office currently. Lots of people reporting hearing from them quite quickly. For the benefit of all would you mind sharing where did you receive your RQ from? Sydney or Mississauga...

hey thanks for clarifying but im still confused or rather inquisitive. didnt he say his mom actually lived in canada for 3 years, applied and then left? how does that make her 3 years time in canada, 'not spent in canada' as per the judge?

i thought he said his mom applied in 2008 after fully completing the 3 years and he was as a minor on that application. Did I understand something incorrectly? :s I thought they left after the applying and then returned in 2011. They go 3 years back from date of application not from when you...

Why would you need to see a judge, did you ask? If you failed the test, CIC has come up with a free re-test. Can you elaborate please?

others have already answered your question so there remains no point in stating the same. However, i am curious as to why did the judge rule against you? You said your mom did live 3 years before applying then do you have any idea why the ruling was against you?

hey canadiann, That was really quick of them to send you the RQ. Seemed as if there was something that put them off immediately and they sent you the RQ. Do you mind sharing your situation? Were you self-employed, missing any important documents, have lots of travel history during the 4 years...

So are you saying that your e-cas has no mention of the RQ not even in the description but you did receive the RQ? So is it that RQ just pops in the mail and CIC doesn't even mention any letter as sent etc. in the e-cas?

It makes perfect sense for the STATUS to not change because it is still 'In Process'. But, does the description have any additions like some people had posted their timeline and it said ' we sent you a letter on (date) kindl reply.... etc. etc.' Do you see that in the E-cas if you are given an RQ?

But does it atleast tell you in the description that a letter or something was mailed? Asking cause without that one wouldn't even know something was mailed in it gets lost in the mail etc. Thanks!
