    If you are married in Canada and you are in visitor visa, you can simply extend the visa by saying that you are married (include the marriage certificate as well) and that you are on process of getting a Permanent resident. You do not need to say how long you want, they will grant you 12 months...

    Its so cool! very nice of you to do that! It would be helpful if we can see other people`s progress. To compare if our application is as same speed. Perhaps it will never be all in the same speed, but at least we know we are not the only one that hasn`t got any major progress..

    In my form, I just wrote I apply for permanent resident visa, but I did mention that I live with my husband, and he is my sponsor and guarantee to support any expenses for me in Canada. I suppose they get the picture that I am applying permanent resident from spouse/family class..

    I only have visitor visa :( Yes, I totally agree with you about the reason why the immigration advises against leaving Canada. It is very risky.
