hi, If you can wait for appointment, local CIC might be an option for you. I'm not too sure though if its work to visitor visa because i was in Canada for a work permit. but I chose to cross the border anyways, and did the flag-poling not a problem.

My own experience was i applied for my restoration as i don't have legal status, but prior to that we submitted spousal applicantion outland while living in canada, and I never leave canada and good thing i got my PR before they even process my application for restoration.

I never had a printer before..Ever in my life, bUt I never regret to buy one just for my immigration paper. I'd rather spend a few bucks for a printer than pull a thousand out of my pocket because the application is refused.
