Hi, Do we need to attach the original Canadian passport along with the postal application for OCI?

I have been trying to call them since last week but it goes to to a standard response asking to contact them via mail. Though they say they will respond in 24hrs I am yet to see any replies to my mails too. Looks like they are understaffed. Thank you. Wondering why they would do that:-)

The postal application link on BLS website is down? Anybody else trying or got any replies from BLS?
