Applications filed through NS --> Buffalo (Filed from USA)

The letter that accompanied my passport and Confirmation of PR from Detroit asked to call the CIC call centre to inquire about landing options inside Canada (for current legal residents of Canada only). I called the CIC call centre and the agent informed me that I'd have to book an appointment...

Thank you all for the congrats. Successfully completed the landing process today. Was given the option of either going to an In Land location (has a 4 - 6 week delay) or going to the boarder, so I did it the faster way by going to the US boarder. I was asked to exit Canada (by going to the...

FYI: I had done my med in October 2010. This means Detroit had run out of quota by mid / late October 2010. In 2011 with renewed quota, they have started processing right away. The fact that they sent my request the first week of Jan means I was probably at the top of the queue. This...

My PP Request letter did not accompany any receipt or document confirming RPRF payment. Just wondering when and how (if at all) an RPRF Payment Receipt is provided to the applicant. Hope those of you who have landed already can shed some light on this. BTW, thanks for the Congrats everyone!

I see what you are saying. I agree that the Detroit VO treat their clients better than Buffalo. However, that is no reason for them to slack off at work. As for my emails to them, I can promise you that I have been very "gentle" and "soft" with my words in my email to Detroit.

This is ridicules. I am frustrated. It has been over 12 months since I applied for PR, the file had been sitting in Buffalo for 6 months and they could not complete eligibility review. So these imbeciles transferred the file to Detroit to “expedite” the process. Now its been sitting there for...

Congrats Igtar! My file was transferred from Buffalo to Detroit on April 7 and they still haven't completed the review yet. Mean while, I am seeing more and more people who were transferred after me are being handed medical requests, makes me wonder if there's something wrong with my...
