    No clue what I'm doing

Yes i wasn't sure hence the emphasis on the COULD. On researching, you're right. It can only be done in the case of the paternity being incorrect. My mistake.

Thread for Outland LONDON, UK Applications!

I heard yesterday that outland London applications are only taking 4-9 months for a UK resident married to a canadian. Is that the case?

    Will this damage my application?

I thought it was about a year? Only 4-9 months?! Wow. So send it all off approx 9 months before i finish. Might they wonder why i've been in the UK as long as i will have been after the wedding? Thank you for your help

    Will this damage my application?

Sorry, i wasn't clear. We will apply outland of course (in the process of filling in forms) but someone told me that my staying in the UK to finish my degree will not be looked on favorably by CIC as an outland applicant. As in, they will wonder why i'm not already in Canada, applying inland...

Canadians have to declare they are moving back at airport?

As far as i'm aware, if she's a citizen, she can come and go as she pleases? Was your wife sponsored?

    Will this damage my application?

We got married last month after a 7 yr relationship (him - Canadian citizen. Me - UK citizen) and i've returned back to the UK to complete my batchelors degree as i won't be able to do it while in Canada (no student finance if i live outside the UK) and someone suggested to me this morning that...

I have 5+ years of experience working in elderly care, specifically with those with Alzheimers, Dementia and mental health issues in a large home for the retired and elderly. I have two years left to complete my Bsc in health and social care and have looked tentatively for jobs to give me an...

    No clue what I'm doing

You can get married. I married my Canadian husband and then came back to the UK. Whoever told you cannot get married isn't at all informed! As others have said, your biggest issue right now is your first child (or rather his father!) Part of the family sponsorship program involves his father...

Careless Driving conviction in USA in 2009

As far as i know (and don't take this as gospel truth) they equate crimes to Canadian law. So if your careless driving conviction does equate, it may affect you. That being said, there are rehab forms you can get stamped i believe that can show that your record is now clean. Not sure on the time...

    Rejected.

Ah man, i'm so sorry. What a one sided and stereotypical reason for rejection. We don't take many pictures either. The odd selfie but only maybe 5 over a 7 year relationship. You say your family accept the relationship. Letters from them stating you're committed to each other etc... can help...

    Question for intelligent minds

They will ask when you met etc.. so I am foreseeing possible issues for you. It slightly baffles me why and how people can lie on such an important issue

Time limit on taking up PR?

Say, for example, that i get PR on 1st January. Do i then have to land within a certain time? I'm trying to organise everything and if i know i have to land in Canada within 1 month or other time frame, it'll mean i can sort my timeline!
