Veradis, Her best bet is to call CIC and report him, unfortunatly since he is under the old rules there is not much she/he can do :( The day he landed he become a full PR with no conditions attached.

Our process took and 6 and half months, at that time it was taking three months just to be approved as a sponsor so our breakdown is this: April - July 2012: missisauga, waiting for sponsorship approval Late July: Approved as a sponsor, package sent to Mexico City August 2012: AOR from Mexico...

My spouse got his health card yesterday! We are done with immigration for now!! Yay!! :D Just citizenship is left :)

Not to worry then, only Mexican applicants no longer send in the police check with the initial application! it was a rule that changed last year but for Mexicans only. The PGR and SSP are in reference to Mexican police checks so only mexican nationals have to get them after the recieive a letter...

hey cuba thread, I have a question for you on behalf of my friend. If her boyfriend is granted a visitor visa from Cuba, does he still need to pay an exit permit? Has this been taken out of all of Cuba, or only some cities? Thanks!

Went to get my spouses medicals done in oakville.. We had an instance during our process that the embassy could not find our medicals, our medical office helped us out so much to help things get sorted out. I reccomend them to anyone going to get their medicals in the Toronto area, worth the drive!

Another update from us: My spouse got his PR card last week in the mail! :)

Patiently waiting for my hubbies PR card, then we can close the door on our immigration journey.... well until citizenship time I guess, lol!

Lol, I wasn't comparing mexico city to cuidad juarez, those are the places where medicals are now avaliable in Mexico which are a bit of a stretch to Mexicans living in the south of mexico and a plane ride or two day bus trip is needed, which is why Merida was a much better option. I find it...
