We too hired a consultant, but they shared all the information and passwords as and when the information was uploaded for us to cross check and update them of any missing information.

If you had mentioned that you have employed a representative to represent your case and if he/she is really authorized then it may impact your case else it should not be a case of worry. Maybe he know that you are in the last leg of getting your PR and may not need his assistance for further...
