Parents & Grandparents Program (PGP) 2023

I was finally able to link my GCkey account. Thanks to @Solarmanng and you In the instruction guide for PCC, it said: 1. For instant updates, submit your documents via IRCC secure account (MyCIC) at: https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/application/account.html...

My parent application shows exactly the same thing! HOWEVER, do not request for refund. Biometrics for PR and your other application differ. So I'd suggest not wasting your time and that of the officers.

That's normal. The email they use is a "noreply" email. Just use webform.

Parents & Grandparents Program (PGP) 2023

On behalf of my parent, I created a GCKey account and have been trying to link the application. I have tried 4 times already with a bunch of combinations, making sure I enter the correct information (App number, UCI, etc.) but it just says: Based on the information you entered, we found no...

Where do you all see the status of PR application? The only thing I see on https://prson-srpel.apps.cic.gc.ca is application status is "Submitted"

Thank you! I freaked out yesterday, I was like: Gawd, why did they mess up the address? I re-read every form making sure everything is correct and no misspelling, etc. It's good to know that they are normal and generic/template. Thanks!

:) :) :) I am my mother's sponsor and also representative (I submitted "Use of Representative"). I just received a letter that reads as the following (click to show): - She currently doesn't live in Canada. Why is the letter that is being issued to my mother has my address? (In her...

    Expired National Identity Document

If you don't mind me asking (without specifics). is your country among the ones that issue NID? Asking as mine is and I know some countries do not have NIDs. Would that cause issue and be grounds for rejection?

    Expired National Identity Document

Hello everyone, I am submitting a visitor visa application to visit my brother in Canada. In the portal, it asks to upload NID. Mine is expired. What can I do? Would uploading the one that I have create an issue for me? I will take quite a while to get a new NID. Should I upload the expired...

    1. So we definitely need to pay for biometrics even if they're valid till 2029? I saw in 2022 thread that someone didn't have to do it again! So was this a new rule? 2. Can I pay that 85$ separately and somehow upload it to avoid any delays? or am I SOL?

So you didn't have to pay again for biometrics? In 2022, they didn't have this rule that even if biometrics is valid (but it was done for anything other than PR), it has be done again?!

Parents & Grandparents Program (PGP) 2023

I submitted my parent's application yesterday. A couple questions: 1. I paid for $565 and $515 using different credit cards and attached 2 receipts as instructed. That's okay, right? 2. I didn't include the biometric fee. My parent's biometric is valid till 2029, but I think according to the...

I believe you DO NEED to pay the biometric fee.
