Normal Processing Times from Calgary office?

I commend that; however, not all people, for different reasons, are ready to go to the press. We can start by each of us contacting his/her MP and expressing our frustration about Calgary processing time. I did. And the assistant heard this in non-ambiguous terms that why the hell Calgary has...

Normal Processing Times from Calgary office?

When I called my MP, the assistant stated that they did not know that Calgary office is slow. I told her just compare Ontario offices with 7-8 months to Calgary with more than 20 months for non-routine applications. If you compared RQ applications, things are worse. She has no clue about that...

Normal Processing Times from Calgary office?

I have contacted my MP. The lady in the office asked my some questions about my application. She called me back in 3 days and told me that non-routine applications in Calgary could take up to 56 months. I expressed my frustration about the discrepancy in processing times among CIC offices...

After 36 months: I go for Mandamus! Who else here has hired a lawyer?

If you qualify, most importantly, if you have been here 3 years out of the last 5, and so on, then apply right away. You don't have time to waste before the law changes, then you have to wait for an extra 1 year or may be 2.

    Lets flood CIC with Mandamus

From the other forum quoting White1970 https://secure.immigration.ca/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=13758&PN=91&title=post-test-rq-receipients-only-since-2009 More indications that Mandamus works.

After 36 months: I go for Mandamus! Who else here has hired a lawyer?

Hi Walitys, Your oath was supposed to be on May 22nd, hope you are Canadian by now, and no final speed bumps were on the road.

    Lets flood CIC with Mandamus

Exactly. Mandamus does not mean automatic approval. Those who pursue Mandamus should have compelling pieces of evidence (active presence in Canada) regarding their residency. We know that walitys JH was tough, but he chose to pursue Mandamus after 36 months, then 6 months for processing his case...

    Lets flood CIC with Mandamus

At this point, only CIC knows, if you will not get RQ, or you will get either of the two forms. Though since you are from Scarborough, I think it is about time to get your oath invitation. Remember, RQ concerned, no news is good news. However, generally speaking, I think CIC is issuing CIT 520...

    Lets flood CIC with Mandamus

I am not misleading applicants. Lets categorize applications: 1. Post-test RQs; which are further divided into: a) RQs who have the old RQ format (CIT 0171) and applications were filed in 2011 or before: those are taking very long to process their applications, regardless of the...

After 36 months: I go for Mandamus! Who else here has hired a lawyer?

Is it mandatory to have the Mandamus lawyer in the same province of the applicant's residence? Or simply we can choose any lawyer in any province?

Denied AFTER the test? Missing days in residence

Don't withdraw your application, Judges are humans after all, and they know that we do mistakes. Since you are short of a few days, your best chance is to have a judge considering compassionate grounds, or relying on Koo, especially you are only a few days short and you have centralized your...

    Lets flood CIC with Mandamus

And what is more inferior than dragging peoples' applications for 5 or even 10 years, as Kenney himself once admitted? That's on top of the PR time, normally 3 years under the current law and 2-3 years for applying to be a PR. So, someone thinking to immigrate to Canada might take her/him 16...

    Lets flood CIC with Mandamus

So, we have several accounts now that mandamus works. Walitys will get his oath invitation hopefully soon. Not so many mandamus court applications, which means CIC moves applications, before filing of mandamus, while the ones already filed have a good success rate as per the court files. Other...

After 36 months: I go for Mandamus! Who else here has hired a lawyer?

Congrats Walitys; you are a hero Just look at the brighter side, if you did not file for Mandamus, your application might have been dragged for a year or two. Many post-test RQs are waiting for more than 52 months, with no action. Any applicant, routine or non-routine, waiting more than the...
