My expriences so far ... first two days in Toronto!!!

Kingkong1, Really? Those are your questions? You did not answer mine: who are you, so I can take you seriously?

My expriences so far ... first two days in Toronto!!!

Kingkong1, I have obtained my PEng from one province already, and going through the process of applying in another province. Currently working for a company earning 6 figures. A MSc and a PhD from the U.S. However, the start was not easy, and I don't blame the system. Accreditation requires...

My expriences so far ... first two days in Toronto!!!

I am a foreign-trained engineer, currently obtaining Canadian accreditation. I have not found any of the "infamous" barriers or hurdles mentioned by the above poster. Only the normal examinations required to satisfy the regulatory body that I have in fact the training and experience I am...

    Extremely Urgent Please Help

If you were not charged, how does the situation is listed in your police certificate? Is it a charge, arrest, conviction? Anyway, you should contact the PGJ in the state where the incident occurred and ask them about your situation. If it shows in both the federal and state certificates, you...

    Extremely Urgent Please Help

Depending on the state where the charge/conviction occurred, you may be able to obtain it electronically or you may have to apply in person. Have you checked the website of the PGJ in the state where the infraction occurred? I think it may be possible that one of your relatives, with a "carta...

My expriences so far ... first two days in Toronto!!!

It is always very instructive to read the account of a failed cultural integration. Immigration is not for everybody; please don't make the mistake of thinking that it's Canada's fault that newly arrived people cannot find a job or adapt to the life here. The burden of adaptation is on the...

    please guide me

P.Eng. licensure is not easy. However, the process is straightforward enough and if you have had sufficient exposure to your area of expertise then it should not take long. In the meanwhile nothing prevents you to work as an engineering intern since day 1 provided a licensed engineer...

is Halifax Nova Scotia a good choice for landing?

Perhaps I am not going to be of much use, but I held a postdoctoral fellowship in a university in Ontario on a work permit. I have never been to Halifax. Possibility of obtaining a faculty position elsewhere in Canada: depends on the area your husband is working. Is the university at Halifax a...

    Papers

Validating your documents will create a bar code that allows immigration officers to process your documents quicker. It is highly recommended (if not mandatory) that you validate them.

    Landed yesterday

My very personal opinion is that you won't have any problem since you were already a PR when your now wife submitted her application. There would be a problem if you did not have the PR at the time, because that would mean that CIC has to evaluate your admissibility, education, background, etc...

    Need Help urgent please

Hi Armando7, Do you have a letter or a receipt from the police authorities that clearly states the date where the documents were received by them, and that they will submit the documents directly to CIC? You can scan that letter and attach it to your email response to CIC, advising them that...

    Landed yesterday

Hi gimy, My wife was already a PR when I applied. We were married in 2010, and this was stated on my 2011 application. When I received my COPR, the status listed was "single" instead of "married". I suppose the question is, when you applied, how did you indicate your relationship with...
