Hello! Can a refugee claimant open a bank account if the only document they received from IRCC is Acknowledgment of claim? Does anyone know any bank in Canada that will accept a foreign passport and an Acknowledgment of claim paper as an ID to open a chequing account?

Hello sohaib1 So if let's say I have to wait 1 year for my eligibility interview, in that scenario and during that 1 year of waiting: 1- I can NOT drive in Canada even if I have a driver license from my home country ...... beyond the first 3 months I am allowed to use my international driver...

I am wondering if the Eligibility interview takes that long (few months to a year), Can people get a SIN before the eligibility interview? could they apply for a driver license? bank accounts? can someone please advise
