    When did you applied for Student visa? and you can always check the status by logging in your CIC account. I have had applied from US. It took about 15 days for the approval.

    My application was approved but with visitor visa not study !!!

    Don't worry about this. The catch is if you have applied for Student Visa from US and they will give is Visitor Visa rather than Student visa and when you would reach Canada they will stamp it as a student visa. So its all good to have Visitor Visa because it allows you to enter Canada legally...
