Final help before landing please ....???

There is no limit on the amount you can carry.......just declare it on the customs form.......that's all. If they ask, just say its the "settlement funds for immigrating" to any customs officials. There is no law saying you can't carry more than $10,000

    Thread for Outland PARIS applications

@Aquarian: yes the "medical results have been received" did appear in eCAS before file went into processing. They matched the medical to the file quickly. Wife was residing in Europe but is citizen of Pakistan. It all depends on how organized and easy you make it for the immigration officer...

    Renewing a SIN between permits.

yeah you can stay in the country until CIC makes a decision on your application. Whatever the decision of CIC is, that is how you will have to proceed then.

IEC, OWP, Implied Status and working in Canada.

I doubt if you can continue to work after the IEC, and before the open work permit. You will need a work permit to work in Canada. You will have to re-apply for LMO and try again for work permit, or apply to extend stay in Canada as a visitor. I'd recommend to try for LMO again with proper...

How can I contact CIC from outside Canada?

If you provided email to them, they will email you the approval/decisions/requests. These days mostly everything is communicated through email, which is faster and preferred method for most applicants

Our experience with the Paris visa office

not sure if we did or not, but we did indicate it in a short note to the visa office. Plus there wasn't much travel. Although in principle, only the foreign nationals should need to provide their travel info, CIC should not care about the (Canadian)sponsors.
