Hello everyone, quick question regarding my moms pr. We are waiting for her passport call. Second Medical done, pcc done, biometrics done. I just called her on visitors visa.she has been here before as well. What is the best way to tell ircc about her being here-phone, email or webform? Is there a chance of her getting virtual landing request soon due to the convenience of her being here already and on the last step?

Hello Friends,

My parents have received medical and police certificate request 2 weeks ago. Right now they are travelling and not in home country. They will be returning in 2 weeks so they can pursue the medical test and collect the police certificates.

They need to request an extension. Any guidance on what to say when requesting an extension? How reasonable are the officers with requests ?

@laxsun @robertp Hi Team
I was checking on line and it shows medical tests have been received but my parents even haven't received any medical requests as of today, he just received biometrics on 25th Oct which is scheduled on 12th November to get done.

Please suggest as it looks like an system glitch
Do we need to escalate this or just leave as it is

Looking forward hearing back

Thanks in advance

has anyone replied to PR Confirmation Portal email for virtual landing?
what is
Original entry date:
is this the date they visited Canada first time ever? which was like 2008 when they visited for couple of weeks.
Yes, that's what I added - first time ever. What is your timeline ?

I just responded to IRCC mail yesterday only with all details asked for portal. Let's keep each other posted to see the progress.

Hi djsingh
I am also in the same boat as you. I don't have a relationship proof with my mother other than the Passport. Were you able to figure out any solutions. Did IRCC accepted your documents?
Hey Pankaj I had similar problem, but I had my indian passport, 10th certificate also my mum had visited me on supervisa. I wrote the following letter of explanation which was accepted by IRCC. You can explain your situation, it might help.

-----------------------------------------------
The Case Processing Officer

Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada

Subject: Letter of Explanation

Attached: (1) {School/Education Certificate of XYZ}, (2) { Old Indian Passport(before becoming Canadian Citizen)}

Toronto, September 15,2021

Dear Officer,

I am writing this letter to explain my inability to provide the birth certificate for the sponsor, my son, XYZ(UCI NO)).
My son/sponsor, XYZ, was born on January 01,1900 in a small city of Punjab, India. The birth registration was not a common practice done during that time and the school/education certificates were accepted as the proof of date of birth and relationship to parents for all documentation.

Since his birth was not registered, we do not have his birth certificate but his school/education certificates.

My son who now is a Canadian citizen since 2014 also used the same documents for his immigration process. And the same documents were used for my SuperVisa application as a proof of relationship that helped me to travel to Canada.

I am attaching the same documents supporting the proof of my relationship to him as his mother.

I hope you will consider this letter and I am of course at your disposal to provide you with any additional information/documents that you deem useful for the further processing.

Thank you in advance for the time devoted to the treatment of my application.

Hi,
Just got an update from London visa office. They have cleared my both parents medical exam. They have also sent another update stated as " we are preparing the prearrival documents"

Waiting desperately for prearrival documents
Any idea how long will it take?

@laxsun

Thank you

Hello
Once our parents land, how can we apply for their Health card and Photo card identification right away instead of waiting?

1) what documents are required (COPR, Passport, lease agreement?)
2) for Proof of Address - can we use lease agreement or any other proof (instead of waiting for 1 month for bank statement)

Appreciate people can share experience.
Thank you

My parents finally got their CoPR, please update the tracker.
I have a question for those who have already landed in Canada. What's the PR card delivery time like these days? i.e., how long does it take for the PR card to arrive after my parents land, let's say? Is it weeks/months?
If anyone can point me to another thread here on this forum that'd be great if there is more information. TIA!
Its been 6 months for my parents since they got CoPR in April, no sign of PR cards yet

DM2 appears to be the next step for your parents. You wrote that medical of your parents passed on Oct 25.
