Hi everyone.
I have applied for my parents visit visa few days back. Biometric done on 11 April.
I was thinking should I take PHAC approval(pregnancy support) before submitting web form or directly submit web forms to prioritize for immediate family member application.
Also does PHAC approval include exemption from hotel quarantine as well.
Please reply, thank you!!!
Your parents will still need to do biometrics which aren't available in India for visitors and I believe are closed in general due to covid. Others have had to go to Dubai or Nepal but given covid that may not be possible. There is no reason why hotel quarantine would not be possible. Due to the fact that pregnant women are at high risk for covid you must not have contact with your daughter. If you have a basement suite available that is an option otherwise an airbnb or hotel is your other option.

Only option is to find a transit country. Follow their quarantine and visa requirements and get another PCR test and then enter Canada and do the hotel quarantine and other quarantine. Would anticipate that many countries have shut their doors to people arriving from India. Canada is also looking at further rules for visitors. Is it really worth risking your mother’s health? The chances of her catching covid in an Indian airport or on a flight with other Indian residents is very high. If she gets sick in transit she will be stuck in a 3rd country, she may end up alone sick or in hospital without knowing anyone and you may be looking at a large bill or unfortunately much worse.

I beleive same single entry visa will not work for transitioning through third country as visa was issued for a direct flight from India to canada

Has anyone done Biometrics in the US? My mother-in-law recently received her PHAC, and she currently has a valid US visa. We're considering bringing her to the US to submit Biometrics, and complete rest of the application there. Has anyone does so? If/when she has submitted Biometrics in the US, will she have to fly back to India first, to complete rest of the application? Or is there a way to complete all of it in the US, which will allow her to fly/drive directly to Canada?

I guess she can do her biometrics in US without any issues. Many ppl who applied from India have done their biometrics from Dubai/Nepal including my parents. So biometrics shouldn't be a problem.

But I'm not sure of passport submission. Even I'm looking answers for it.

Flying in India is extremely risky. She would risk getting covid. If she is willing to take the risk do not travel without health insurance for a minimum of a million dollars coverage and that covers covid. If she gets sick in the US care will be extremely expensive.

Hi all,
My mother in law visitor visa application was submitted Aug27, 2020 as an immediate family member of TRV(my husband) & she was invited by my husband with a detailed letter from him & his job profile with paystubs.
Now I am PR since Feb 2021. Can we now get to prioritize same application as an immediate family of PR if I submit my PR & relationship proof with invitation letter & income statements? Or do we have go all over gain with new application ?
Please share your views.

Hi everyone

My parents applied for visitor Visa in Nov 20 ( biometrics done in 2019) and then applied application prioritisation on basis of family reunification for immediate family members on April 1st by sending email and April 17 th by filling the web form. Till now they dint receive any reply. Should they expect to receive any reply from IRCC with current travel ban from India. ?Anybody who has received visa approval on family reunification grounds recently in 1-3 days? Thanks

Yeah, passport submission is the big question mark in the US. Biometrics would be done, but would she have to mail her passport from US to Indian VFS? Or have to travel back to India? Or can passport submission happen in the US itself? Would passport submission get skipped completely, and she'll get a temporary 70-90 day paper TRV instead, because she has PHAC approval? Hoping someone here has tried this and/or knows the answer to this part.
