Are you sure it's the urgent processing application not the Sept application?

Also ECAS visibility will be tomorrow.
Yes, I am pretty sure since the receival date is November 23, 2020 and not September 2020.

If it were September's application, they would have said we received your app in September, we processed in November..

My urgent matter is related to a serious illness of a family member, and the urgent need to travel very soon.

Not to mention that I already applied for Citizenship in December 2019 and my application is still under process.

I'm hoping that on your newer urgent application you mentioned that you sent one in September so as to avoid any confusion. As a future reference, I'm not 100% about this but I'm quite sure that you can let the IRCC know that you'd like to make an application you've mailed in already, don't know the procedure though.

In any case, your application has started processing and should be complete in a few days if everything is good. In regards to your September application, you'd probably receive an AoR for it right about this week or the coming one, but given you've gotten an AoR for the urgent one, it's hard to say what'll happen now.

The citizenship application pre-COVID takes at least a year, so you can be assured that it's probably being processed but expect it to take a WAY longer time since you sent it just before the pandemic.

Hey guys, so I applied back in February but my application had an error on it. I resent it on Sept 24th and it arrived on Sept 28th, so that should be the date received on my AoR.

I’ll watch this post and keep everyone updated. I’m estimating 1-2 weeks till I see something on ECAS. haven’t had much luck ever receiving an AoR.
Got my AoR today, Application received 28 September. If all is well should be approved in a few days.

Does anyone know if you were to apply for urgent processing (under employment proof), would the employment letter need to be from a Canadian organisation/company operating overseas or can it be any non Canadian company too? This is for renewal of PR

I think you'd be better off maybe calling an immigration lawyer for this one, or maybe check some other sub-forums related to employment here. The IRCC site only goes as far as mentioning a job opportunity for urgent processing.

I don't think it matters whether the company is Canadian or non-Canadian, but that's just my opinion, a job is a job. The only time I've seen the IRCC go into detail for something like this is when you are applying for a renewal and you don't meet the 730 day requirement, they'll ask you if you were able to fulfill it overseas based on some conditions, where one of them is working for a Canadian company. I don't think the two are related directly though; one is for renewing urgently, the other for not meeting the base requirements for a renewal.

I see. I have met the RO. I just wasn't sure what defines an urgent matter, if it was a Canadian based employment overseas or any employment? Yea it's best to just ask someone professional to clear things up.

Will do, I’ve actually been on DECISION MADE since yesterday (Monday) I think, maybe even Sunday. I’m hoping it changes to COMPLETE sometime this week.
I am a little concerned that I still haven't seen the card has been shipped out, how long do you guys think I should give it before expecting a response. Based on the stuff I've read here, I feel like it should have updated by now :-/
