So, I called again today (15th business day since the delivery of mail to the address provided on their website) and it was extremely frustrating. Here's what I found out:

  1. The address that they have given on their website is for the big mail room at Government of Alberta offices, NOT the IQAS itself. Weird, right? In the Govt of Alberta mailing room, the mail is sorted and redirected to IQAS. Apparently, the mail sits in that sorting office for at least a week before being sent to IQAS. Sounds absurdly inefficient, if you ask me. Why not get the mail delivered directly to IQAS? What is the point of choosing the most expensive, signed-for courier service if IQAS can't receive the mail directly? And even if it must be sorted in the big mail room, then why is it so difficult to sort it when all ECA applications will have International Qualifications Assessment Service written on the address label? Mind-boggling. Just pile the IQAS mail up in one friggin corner!
  2. Today (on May 15), they were opening and acknowledging the ECA apps received on May 1. As per my courier's POD, they received mine on April 24, 10:15 am. And yet, not opened yet.
  3. They can't confirm or deny the receipt, damage, misplacement, return, time-travel, etc. of my application. Just wait till Friday, she said. She said the same last week too. And the week before that.

Anyone with advice/pearls of wisdom? What do you guys make of it? Also, anyone able to share contact details of their management?

As per the email I received from IQAS yesterday i.e. 2nd December 2019, they are opening packages received on or around 19th August.

Here is my status -

Online Profile created - March 23rd 2019
Application package sent - April 19th 2019
Transcript 1 (Masters) delivered - 4th July 2019
AOR 1 received - 13th August 2019
Transcript 2 (Bachelors) delivered - 20th September 2019
Status - Pending (Waiting for transcripts)

In the email sent yesterday, they have acknowledged that one of my transcripts has been received but that the second one has not been opened as yet because it is way outside the date they are processing now.

Hope this helps.

PS - This is my first message on this blog. I was really inspired by all you people sharing your slow and painful journey with IQAS, so I decided to join you guys. Hope it is all worthwhile and all of you get your desired evaluation, and eventually immigrate to Canada.

Thank you so much for the update. However, one of our friend on this forum posted that - his packages are delivered to IQAS on 28-AUG-2019 and he received AOR for the same.
And
Mail from IQAS for you says, they are opening the packages of 19-AUG-2019.

Quite confusing.......

The truth is that the dates IQAS gives to enquirers are always behind the actual date they are at. I think they do that inorder to be on the safe side.

What all credentials are you getting assessed for you and your wife?

From what I have observed in my case, there is no such stage as assessing, some officers choose to put you in assessing while some send the file directly to Final review.
In my case, my assessing stage was from 16th october and Final review came on 18th November, but the report completion date was 15th October.
So unless they come back to you asking for more documents your assessment is completed at the assessing stage itself
