Do they ask for biometrics from all the applicants?
I have 34 days left and yet no request for biometrics.
Medicals passed, no update on security.

what does it say next to biometrics on your application page?
if you are applying from inland - Canada does not have biometric services set up yet therefore they are not usually required
Says, "We do not need your fingerprints. We will send you a message if this changes."

I also read somewhere on this thread applicants are called for an interview before giving PPR. I was under an impression that Canadian immigration does not involve an interview. Is it on a case-to-case basis?
And being called for an interview would mean PPR is final?
Hi, even me in sort of similar situation .. My wife is primary applicant and she received the BIL soon after we passing the medicals and she gave the bio metrics and our application status shows bio-metrics completed. Till i now i did not receive the BIL .We called the CIC couple of times and ordered GCMS notes. But of no help. They ask us to wait.
I thought that the notes are free if I live in Canada atm but on this website I see only $20 dollar option. Is it like that pls?
I want to order them, as my AOR is Feb 04 and after Medical no update, 26 days left. VO Winnipeg.
I called them twice (at the end of May and few days ago) and in both they told me same status - Eligibility Recom passed, Crim in progress, Security Not stared.
But it says we are processing your background check right from MEP. Anyways how far I am just an estimation

Canadian Immigration does involve an interview, but it is also on case-to-case basis (its not mandatory for everyone). Most of the time getting an interview means you got it, but I don't know for sure, I don't know anyone who got rejected after an interview, everybody I know got their PR.
