It will be not be an exaggeration if I call it a week that was super dull and way more upsetting that past couple of weeks. though technically a day left (in EST) to close the week, it is highly likely that we dont see any movement as Fridays are presumably non productive in terms of PPRs.

What I hope is the next week will bring smiles and a lot of PPRs including mine. :):)

That definitely looks like the case! Thanks for letting me pick your brain for my benefit :)
It’s a pain to keep going through the notes with a fine tooth comb hoping they’ll yield a clue  As of now (and since my prior set of notes on 26/09/18) my application assignment continues to show the same set of IRCC employees, with just the assignment dates changed :(
Looks like I, yourself, @Prashant86_2000, @vickymalhotra have a very similar file movement and status. Lets see when things move for us. :)

My criminality passed on oct 25th and eligibility met. Waiting for security to start since oct 25th, So they said same story to me in a different way this time. We are all in same loop
Couldn't agree with you more. It's a matter of time and eventually we all will be in Canada. Only part where I feel a little helpless is - Time in hand to close things back here in India. Compared to other applicants we will fairly less time to pack and close!

Thank you for contacting Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).

You will find below useful information that we hope will help understand the process and current status of your permanent residence application under the Federal Skilled Workers.

  • Your application was received at the Centralized Intake Office (CIO) in Sydney, Nova Scotia, on June 18, 2018.
  • The initial assessment to ensure your application is complete has been finalized on July 3, 2018. Following this assessment, your application was transferred to the Case Processing Center in Ottawa, Ontario. The office will contact you if they need other documents from you.
  • The responsible office is currently reviewing the application and documents submitted to determine if you and your family members if applicable meet the eligibility requirements under the class for which you have applied. You can expect to be contacted if additional information is necessary.
    • The background verifications are currently being reviewed.
    • The medical examination results on file are valid for you and your spouse.
This still looks like a decent reply. Most including me got the same standard reply.

Looks like your file is quite close to the Visa Officer to be reviewed and decisioned.

congrats, buddy!

can you walk me through how you got in touch with them?

In my GCMS notes it says that my CIO is Ottawa but I'm not sure right now since it was in July...

thanks in advance
Hi! I know that my secondary office is CIO and I sent an email to them
'IRCC.CIO-BRCD.IRCC@cic.gc.ca' saying that my application was approved on January 2nd and asking for a send or resend my PPR letter!

:)

Good luck!

OK guys, finally I was able to get in queue to talk to the agent yesterday. The Agent 'Patrick' was very helpful and seemed knowledgeable.

Here is my attempt to word my experience.

In the beginning when he asked me "what is the last status you have and when?" I felt scared, and intimidating, hiwever the call and the agent turned out to be empathetic.

P: What is the most latest status on my application.
A: The Criminality shows Passed. The final approval on Eligibility is not yet done but it is marked as Met so that's a positive sign. The security shows 'not started' however this is the online application I am talking about. They might have worked on your paper application that is not yet updated here. And it could be a technical hold up or it might be in process so it should not take much time. However, I will not be able to give you a specific timeline.

P: Where is my application currently being processed?
A: It is at CPC Ottawa

P: What is holding up the application.
A: As I said tcould be anything, a technical hold up or something in process.

The agent was super calm and understanding during the discussion. He did not show any discomfort in answering questions.

However I could infer that mostly all applications have a Physical and a Digital form. The work primarily begins on the physical file and once finished it gets updated on GCMS.

At times the agent/officer starts working on a fine but does not update on the system that the work has begun. In which cases the status appears as 'not started'.

Got my CBSA notes yesterday & just went through it, and revealing that one blank page in security in my IRCC notes:

Again, only one main section under security (strangely no s21 or other symbol on top right this time), with status "In Progress"

BUT, the one and only sub activity under the main has: security screening: Comprehensive./ Priority: Normal

So I guess Im in SS after all? If so, (long sign....) , but I guess I already prepared for the worst..

Is that the layout in your CBSA notes as well since you know you are in SS @Mai86 @Mr_nobody ?
I haven't ordered CBSA yet myself. I think you are in security step, but you may want to ask some seniors in SS (@bimale4bipeople I think you have more info on this topic). However, don't worry, not every security takes that long. Hopefully, it will be over soon.

Yeah but then again I don't have the 1-5 security activities that everyone, at least those in SS, seem to have.. not in the IRCC notes nor in the CBSA notes. Still confused about this, maybe whatever red flag they (for god know what reason) raised only require CBSA to check..?
When did your security started? Is it long ago? Maybe, CBSA has not started working on it and that is why you don't see many activities. Anyways, everyone has to pass some security. Maybe your case does not have a red flag and they clear your security soon. Fingers crossed

There is no new information in your conversation with the agent. I agree that they don’t know anything else apart from online status but it’s not done that they hold our applications for no reason.

If it’s technical glitch then they should resolve it as their time has elapsed. If there is delay from officer he/she should prioritise files according to Aor dates.

I know it sounds good to hear my suggestions and you would also agree to it but unfortunately they will work according to their pattern. I just hope they somehow complete everything and release PPRs for those waiting for more than six months.

If you look at Immitracker, September 2018 AoRs have a completion rate of 10% after 4.5 months. Definitely CIC is not going to complete rest of the 70% in just 1.5 months to meet their so called 80% applications in 6 months crap.

Overall they have slowed down. Period.
I don't know why CIC doesn't update the processing time. They have increased the number of ITA's and they are of course behind. The deadlines are getting updated and yet they don't update the processing time!

I am pretty sure that my theory of agents can only see security "not started" is correct. Maybe the info gets redacted even for the call agents.

I have no doubts about your theory, however more than redaction it is delay in updating the information.
