Hello Everyone!
I’ve got an update on my PR application. Up to yesterday it was showing : “Not applicable” on the background session.
But now they are processing my background check and there is a 4 page letter asking for fingerprints.
Nothing about OWP yet...
Now I’ll figure out how to get them done as I thought that there was no need to get fingerprints done in Canada.
Has anyone done it in Canada?
Thank you!
yup.. i did it today.. just go to your near police station and they will take a fees of 65$.. and dont forget to take your ID..
they will send you the PCC and you have to send the PCC ASAP to CIC.

Print and fill out the form: https://vancouver.ca/police/assets/pdf/forms/vpd-form-fingerprint-request.pdf and bring it to VPD on 2120 Cambie St, Vancouver, BC V5Z 4N6.
You don't need to make an appointment but when you walk in, make sure you bring 2 pieces of gov issued IDs - at least 1 with a photo (e.g. driver's licence, passport, BCID) and another with or without a photo (e.g. birth certificate but no SIN card, and combined driver's licence and health care card will be considered 1 piece of ID).
It'll cost you about $60 and possibly extra $25 depending on your condition.

It be expiring in 2 years (from the date of approval) or the expiry date of your passport, whichever comes first.
Does anyone know, if you renew your passport, will CIC/is there a way to extend the OWP? My husband's passport expires in May, and we are in the process of renewing as CIC has requested a new one already. So, once it's renewed and sent to CIC, can his OWP be extended?

What does it say for "Current status" under the Interview application step?

For me it says "You do not need an interview. We will send you a message if this changes."

Was wondering if this means that I for sure don't need an interview, or that this is just what it always says until they decide for real whether or not you need one.

Did u got email for OWP approval or just checked on cic account
I was checking every day. Then on Tuesday the status changed to "we are reviewing your eligibility" no email. Then it changed to approved.
I received an email today (1 day later) telling me to check my account and also have a correspondence letter in my account saying I've been approved
