at the check-ins when you go they will type her passport # to verify it's her ticket, would not anything pop up to say that she is over her stay? I'm assuming the system would not know about the implied status or would it? Our trip is in Jan and her expiry date is Dec 21. I mean I will do my homework and take with me the proof of application submitted and received date just in case.
As a former airline agent that worked many years at the airport , nothing pops up when passport data is input into the system . Only time anything will pop up is if the passengers destination country requires a electronic visa, and they are not holding one .As well if the passport has expired. That passport information however is shared with numerous countries, as well as the Canadian Government when you are leaving . That’s how sometimes the government can tell you overstayed . There’s no exit controls , but information is sent to the IRCC, and matches information the passenger gave when either entering the country as well as when applying for the visa

Note that this is a domestic flight, not a flight out of Canada. Nothing will be sent to IRCC.

We are travelling within Canada. So I suppose we should be ok. Thank you so much for your help!

Outland is generally faster and IRCC recommends outland if the applicant plans to leave Canada during the process. It is fine for a person to be in Canada while an outland app processes.
Thanks for your reply, what would be her status in Canada during that time ? Visitor ?

I am not aware of the processing times but if it's anywhere close to a year, how would stuff like medical coverage, driving license, social insurance work during this period while she lives with me in Canada as an outland applicant ?

Yes, she would need to maintain her visitor status.

Medical coverage and drivers license depends on the province. She won't get a SIN or be able to work until the PR app is approved.

Ive got a question about translating documents. If my birth certificate is not in English or French, I need to get an official copy and translation?

What about rental contracts? Do I need to get them officially translated as well or do I add an extra sheet of explanation?

Long story but my boyfriend and I lived in 5 different houses in one year so that would be a lot of paper to get officially translated!

Thank you!

I’m Canadian and sponsoring my husband (Libyan but living in the US for several years). Seeing other early August and even September applicants are moving forward has me nervous.

Timeline for reference:
Application Sent/Full application & PR Card Payment made: July 27 2018 - (this included Police + FBI clearance)
Application Received (based on UPS, not because of an email, they still have not sent): August 3/4 2018
Biometrics Requested: September 7 2018
Biometrics Paid: September 7 2018
Biometric Confirmation email: September 22 2018
Nothing since then

A couple of questions re: application
  1. Would we be considered a July (when we paid and sent), August (when they received) or Sept (repaid biometrics) application?
  2. We have not heard anything from CIC since confirmation of biometric payment. No AOR, nothing. - has anyone else had the biometric request and not heard anything?
  3. Can’t link our account (we have tried every combination under the sun), have emailed CIC to no response

You are considered an August applicant. The payment date means nothing in regards to timeline, it's when the app us recieved.
The biometric payment was necessary to make the application complete, it's not a request for the actual biometrics yet.
You cant link to gckey yet, as you have not recieved aor.
Although a lot of August applicants have gotten aor by now, not all have. You can call the call centre and see if there are any updates. Some applicants have waited for up to 4 months before receiving Aor.

Official documents like the birth cert, yes.

Unofficial documents like the rental agreements, no. Translate them yourselves.

1. August.

2. Were you checking your spam folders?

3. Can't help there except to say look through of of the threads on the forum about linking, as there are some tricks.

Thank you that is great news!! I just found out that the Dutch government can give me an international birthcertificate, in English, so that makes it even easier! That should be fine then right, without getting an affadavit and everything?

Hello everyone,

I would like to know if IRCC finds any documents missing or any signatures missing do they send back the PR application immediately or it would take couple of months?

Thank You,
Ritvik
